The Albion District Library Board of Trustees is pleased to announce Ann Perrigo will be joining our team as we continue to move forward in the identification of a new Director. Ann joins as a consultant serving in the position of Interim Director on a part-time basis. Ann has a connection to Albion as a graduate of Albion College and Director of Albion Public Library from 1969-1971 – before the “new” addition. Most recently Ann retired from her role as Director of the Allegan District Library after 18 years. She brings a wealth of expertise in library management that will assist in our transition to new leadership. Ann looks forward to partnering with Cindy Stanczak, Deputy Director, and working with all our staff. Please join us in welcoming her. The search process for a new permanent Director is underway. The position was posted June 26 with an application deadline of August 1. Hartzell-Mika Consultants are facilitating the process working with the search committee to identify quality candidates.
Kim Arndts, Board Vice President, chairs the search committee. Review of candidates and interviews are planned for the month of August. We ask that community members interested in participating in the search process call the Library at (517) 629-3993 and leave your name and contact information. This is an important decision and input from our community in identifying the person to lead us forward is essential.
