Obituary Database

The Albion Area Obituary Collection includes over 52,000 obituaries and Riverside Cemetery records dating from the 1830’s. Most have been entered into the database index, which is updated monthly as new obituaries are obtained.

The Obituary Collection is available for research and copying during Local History Room hours. Photocopies are 10 cents per page. Copies can be sent by mail or e-mail at a fee of $2.00 per obituary.

Obituary Research

If an obituary is not located in the database, obituary research may be requested by providing the name and date of death for a non-refundable fee of $2.00 per obituary. Microfilm copies of the Albion Recorder will be searched for an available obituary.

Additional family research may be requested subject to a $15.00 per hour, non-refundable research fee. Please allow at least 3 weeks for delivery.
