The Albion District Library’s Board of Trustees is actively seeking a resident of the Albion Township to represent the residents of the township on the Board for 2023-2026.
We’re looking for someone who believes the public library is vital to the health and well-being of the community as a whole. We want someone who is passionate about learning; is committed to equity, access, and transparency; and is willing to work with others to achieve challenging goals.

They represent the residents of the approximately 67 square miles of the City of Albion, Albion Township, and the Albion School District within Sheridan Township. Trustees serve four (4) year terms.
Qualifications: The eligible candidate must be a resident of Albion Township.
A strong candidate will possess:
- an awareness of the library’s role in our community as a center of information, culture, recreation, and lifelong learning, an understanding of our community and its needs,

- the ability to think and plan creatively and to question objectively,
- sound judgment, a sense of fiscal responsibility, and political awareness,
- good listening and communication skills,
