Volunteer

Volunteers are important partners in the Albion District Library’s mission to provide patrons with knowledge and information that support lifelong learning.

Supervised by Library staff, volunteers work on special projects and community events. People who are at least 14 years old are encouraged to volunteer.

Share your talents and skills and make a difference in your community! Volunteers assist the Library staff in a wide range of day-to-day operations, including short-term as well as long-term, ongoing commitments; here are just a few of the possibilities:

  • assisting with craft projects
  • helping patrons with GED programs
  • assisting the  library staff with book processing
  • duplicating flyers and handouts for educational programs
  • assembling packets
  • assisting with large mailing projects
  • serving as movie monitors
  • shelf reading
  • helping sort book donations
  • cleaning A/V materials

To become a Library Volunteer, pick up an application form at the Library’s Services Desk, or print out the PDF version HERE for assistance in requesting the item. Completed forms can be dropped off at the Library’s Services Desk, or mailed to:
