Donations & Gifts

DONATIONS

The Albion District Library provides our community with avenues to learning, information, arts, and culture. Over the years, generous contributions from supporters have helped sustain and expand the Library’s collections and services.

Albion District Library provides opportunities for you to honor, remember, or celebrate a special person or occasion. Gifts of check or cash to the Library may be directed to be used as needed, for the ADL Endowment Fund, the purchase of materials, Dolly Parton Imagination Library, or for the Joseph V. Wilcox Memorial Library Book fund. Gifts directed for book purchases will be recognized by a bookplate showing the individual’s name or occasion commemorated and the donor’s name, if so noted by the donor. You may indicate the age level and subject matter to be purchased.

Purchases will follow selection and collection development policies. Contributions of $1,000 or more directed to the Endowment Fund assure the future of the Library and are recognized on the Library’s Legacy plaque, located on the main floor of the Library.

GIFT PLANNING

Gift planning is a way to express your belief in the value of reading, learning, and your public library. By making a charitable gift, you become a partner in the Library’s  mission to support literacy and access to knowledge for everyone in the community. Your gift helps assure that the Library remains a vital asset to children, teens, and adults for generations to come.

BOOK DONATIONS

The Library greatly appreciates your donations of gently-used books and media of all types to the Friends of the Library.  Please, no items that are damp, stained, molded or mildewed, bug-infested, encyclopedias, magazines, or condensed books. Donations to the Friends generate funding for the Friends, who financially support many Library projects, collections, and programs.
