Tell Us Your Ghost Story!

Posted on Oct 19, 2018

ghostTuesday, October 23rd at 6 PM.
Registration begins at 5:45PM the day of the event and is open to all.
How does it work? Five minutes; that’s the amount of time you have to convince the audience that your ghost story is true even if it’s not! Impress the judges with your performance and you might win a Bohm Theater movies pass and $5.00 gift certificate courtesy of the Bohm Theatre in Albion.
The 13 ghost storytelling slots will be filled on a first come first served basis. Registration begins at 5:45PM the day of the event and is open to all. To keep this family friendly, we ask that the ghost stories have a PG rating. Judges will be looking at the presentation of the story, the structure: (does if have a plot?), a wonder or scary factor, and believablility. The Tell Us Your Ghost Story judges are Cindy Stanczak, Library Director, Dr. Allison Harnish, Assistant Professor of Anthropology at Albion College, and Nancy Doyal, Executive Director of the Bohm Theatre. One Bohm prize will be given in the 18 and over category; the other will be given to the 17 and under category.
After the storytelling, stay for the Thriller dance rehearsal lead by Dr. Harnish. You can learn more about the Thriller Mob dance at Albion College’s Quad on Halloween by visiting https://www.thrillerday.net/copy-of-schedule.
Start your Halloween fun early and enjoy this free event. Even the audience gets to participate. They get to judge if the story is true or not and if they are right they win a piece of candy.
