Library Cards

Everyone is welcome to use the Library's collections in the building. However, a library card is required to check out materials.

You may apply for a library card if you live, or own a business or property, within the Library's service area, which includes the City of Albion, Albion Township, and the Albion Public School District. These areas support the Library with tax monies.

Please bring your Michigan ID or Driver's License with your current address on it.  If you do not have a Michigan ID or Driver's License, or if your Michigan ID/Driver's License does not reflect your current address, please also bring two pieces of mail with your current address on it (utility bill, tax statement, bank statement, etc.).

If you live outside the Library's service area, you may purchase a card for a yearly fee.

Cardholders are responsible for all materials they check out, and for paying fines and/or replacement costs. Overdue charges are ten cents per day per item.  For more information on our fine structure, please refer to our Library Card & Patron Registration Policy, and our Overdue Fine Policies, under the "About" tab above.
