June 7-  I’ll Have What Phil’s Having: Italy
Come along with Emmy Award®-winner Phil Rosenthal on an offbeat and often hilarious culinary adventure. Phil ventures through Italy from the bustle of Florence to the countryside of Umbria. He journeys across the land where passion and beauty are infused into every aspect of the culture, but most importantly, into the food. PBS (54 min.)

June 14 –  Finding Your Roots with Henry Louis Gates, Jr.: Jimmy Kimmel, Norman Lear, and Bill Hader
Uncover a history of tragedies and triumphs in the families of three of America’s funniest men Jimmy Kimmel, Norman Lear and Bill Hader as they learn how comedy truly has its place in all aspects of life.

Join us as Dr. Gates reveals how the family histories of these public figures tells us so much of our country’s history. PBS (60 min.)

June 21 – Live Speaker Event: The Beauty of Norway with Doretta Wilson
In the early 80’s, Doretta and Jim Wilson of Albion were hosts to Eilin Opsal, an exchange student from Norway. Many years later, they were able to follow-up on the invitation to see her home country, Norway. In June 2016, the Wilsons hopped on a plane and landed in Alesund, Norway. With their lovely hostess, they were able to see fjords, glaciers, and even a filming of the TV program Amazing Race in Norway. They also traveled to the fourth longest fjord in the world, Hardangerfjord, and saw breathtaking valleys, mountains, and farmland rounded out their Norway trip. Live Presentation (60 min.)

June 28 –  Cool Spaces: The Best New Architecture – Art Spaces
“Cool Spaces” profiles the most provocative and innovative public space architecture in North America. Each episode’s story proceeds through a tapestry of voices, including not only the designers, but the people who use and enjoy these spaces, giving meaning to them on a daily basis.

Art Spaces are the focus this time and guided by architect and teacher Stephen Chung, Some of the places we visit are the Barnes Foundation in Pennsylvania, Harvey B. Gantt Center for African-American Arts + Culture in North Carolina, and Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art in Missouri. PBS (60 min.)
