If you wish to use your donation as a tax credit on your State of Michigan tax return, write your check to the Albion Public Library.  Otherwise, write it to the Friends of the Library.  It counts as a charitable contribution for tax purposes either way; however, it must be written directly to the Library to qualify as a state tax credit.  Please write “Friends” on the check’s memo line so we can keep an accurate record of our sponsors.   

Board members serve for four years.  They meet four times a year.  Their responsibilities are to work on fundraising projects and help decide which projects to fund.
