February 1 –  Nova: Rise of the Drones
Drones. Thee unmanned flying robots–some as large as  jumbo jets, others as small as birds–do things straight out of science fiction. Much of what it takes to get these robotic airplanes to fly, sense, and kill has remained secret. But now, with rare access to drone engineers and those who fly them for the U.S. military, NOVA reveals the amazing technologies that make drones so powerful as we see how a remotely-piloted drone strike looks and feels from inside the command center. PBS (60 min.)

February 8 –  Finding your Roots-Michelle Rodriguez, Adrian Grenier, Linda Chavez
Michelle Rodriguez Michelle Rodriguez is a versatile actress known for the ability to combine her “tough girl” physicality with a natural beauty and unforced sex appeal. In this program, she discovers some surprising connections regarding her Puerto Rican roots.

Adrian Grenier, is a New Mexico-born, New York-raised actor who went on to work with esteemed directors such as Steven Spielberg and Woody Allen. Sine then, he has since added director and producer on multiple platforms to his credits. In his family history, he learns about his Conquistador ancestor who had terribly violent interactions with Pueblo Indians.

Lastly, we are introduced to political analyst Linda Chavez, who is chairman of the Center for Equal Opportunity, a non-profit public policy research organization in Falls Church, Virginia and works with Fox News. She finds out about her ancestors who were Pueblo. Join us as Dr. Gates reveals how the family histories of these public figures tells us so much of our country’s history.  PBS (60 min.)

February 15 – I’ll Have What Phil’s Having: Paris
Come along with Emmy Award®-winner Phil Rosenthal on six offbeat and often hilarious culinary adventures around the world.  In this installment join Phil on a culinary adventure to Paris, where he gets his hot chocolate fix, learns the French lawn game Pétanque, and goes in search of the best roast chicken in the city. PBS  (54 min.)

February 22 –  Michael Dixon: Discovering Turkey Through Art
Tour the interior of the fabulous Dumfries House, an architectural gem that boasts one of the largest collections of Chippendale furniture in the world. This once-neglected mansion was dramatically brought back to life and saved for the nation by HRH The Prince of Wales. PBS (60 min.)
