Library Board

Library Board of Trustees
The library is governed by a seven-person Board of Trustees, appointed by Albion Township, Albion School District and the City of Albion. The Library Board is responsible for establishing library policies. Library Board meetings, held monthly, are open to the public.

Purpose: To make rules and regulations as necessary for the proper operation of the Albion District Library.

Established: Albion District Library Agreement provides for a seven-member board to be appointed by the Albion Township, Albion Public Schools and the City of Albion.    This board has statutory powers that make it the owner of the library property. The board sets the budget and salaries for its employees.

Membership: Seven voting members.

Term: Four years

Meetings: Monthly – Second Monday at 6:00 p.m.
