Brief Summary

Helen Blanche Gregory was a graduate of Albion High School, Class of 1912.  She was born on December 3, 1894, to Marcus E. and Mary Koons Gregory.  After Albion High School she went on to Albion College.   In 1910, she formed the Colby String Quartet and played through college and several years later. She was married  J. Clifford Smith of Albion and had two children, Kathleen Pulling and Parker Smith.  She died at the age of 96 on August 15, 1990.

    Societies and Clubs                                                                                                                                   The J.O.P Society was organized in 1910 with Ruth Rogers, Irene Ferguson, and Helen Gregory as members.  Later on, Martha Colby joined.  She also belonged to the Dramatic Club.
